Virtual - Teens - Parents - Families

Sarah Peacock, MSW RSW

registered social worker (OCSWSSW)

I work with teens, parents and caregivers, and families who are navigating change, challenges in relationships, or times when things just aren’t working the way they used to. My work is grounded in a family systems perspective, which means looking beyond the individual to understand the relationships, patterns, and circumstances that shape what is happening. I believe meaningful change happens when we look at the whole system and create space for people to grow, both separately and together.

I believe people are the experts in their own lives, and I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique experiences and perspective. I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported, and I work collaboratively with clients to make sense of what is happening and move toward the changes that matter to them. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, relational, and strengths-based approaches, with a commitment to social justice.

I’ve taken what I often describe as the scenic route through life. After nearly a decade working in forestry, I found my way into the gender-based violence sector, where experiences in advocacy, restorative justice, outdoor education, and community-based mental health ultimately inspired me to pursue my MSW. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with youth and families navigating addictive behaviours, complex mental health challenges, and significant life transitions. These experiences have deepened my belief in the importance of connection, community, and supportive relationships in creating meaningful change.

I’m a lifelong camp kid at heart and continue to value the role that nature, community, and shared experiences can play in fostering connection, growth, and healing. I feel privileged to walk alongside people and families as they navigate change and discover their own capacity for resilience, belonging, and growth.
