Connected Families:
a program for parents & caregivers
Who it’s for: parents with children ages 2-16 years-old who are experiencing relationship challenges within their family (a separation, significant conflict, placement to another home)
What it is: a program designed to strengthen families by increasing the knowledge, communication, and skills of parents and caregivers. We will talk about:
ways to build emotional connection
how to provide support for behaviour while building connections
challenges of caring for challenging children
the importance of self-care (and what this actually means and looks like for busy families)
how our experiences as children (how we were parented) shape the way we parent (and what to do if we want to change that)
How it’s happening: this group is offered twice a year (in Fall and Winter), online
Common questions:
Do both parents/caregivers have to come? No.
What if I have children but they aren’t living with me right now? That doesn’t matter, we’d love to have you join.
