Mental Health Symposium: Call for Speakers

Friday April 24, 2026 at Canadore College in Parry Sound

Thanks for your interest in speaking at the Symposium!

As you complete our speaker application, please keep in mind that the program is designed for professionals, teachers, parents, and community members, and with the goal that attendees will leave feeling EMPOWERED, VALIDATED, INSPIRED, and MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE about mental health.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • sessions are 75-minutes

  • participants choose their sessions day-of, so attendance is likely to be anywhere from 15-50 people

This year, we are particularly interested in these topics:

  • trauma and attachment

  • supporting neurodivergence (ADHD, ASD, and PDA)

  • leadership and mental health in the workplace

  • caring for individuals with declining health (mental, physical, and/or cognitive)

  • suicide awareness

We appreciate all speaker submissions. Unfortunately, due to limited time, space, and budget, it is unlikely that we will be able to offer a session space to all speaker applicants. Priority will be given to speakers with topics that align with our primary focus areas (listed above). We will be in touch within the coming weeks to let you know if your session has been accepted. Thank you again for your support and interest in this event!
